Overview
Each year the South Carolina Association of Counties (SCAC) awards scholarships to graduating high school seniors. For 2026, SCAC will present one Presidential Scholarship of $5,000 and multiple Board of Directors Scholarships of $5,000 each.
Presidential Scholarship (2026)
One $5,000 Presidential Scholarship is awarded annually to a graduating high school senior who lives in the same county as the sitting SCAC President. Because SCAC’s current President is Chesterfield County Council Chairwoman Mary D. Anderson, the 2026 Presidential Scholarship will be designated for a resident of Chesterfield County.

Each spring the George and Mary Josephine Hamman Foundation awards seventy (70) scholarships to graduating high school seniors from the Houston area to support undergraduate study.
