Introduction
The Ohio Township Association Scholarship Program was established in 2005. Its roots trace back further: former OTA board member Paul Smith and his wife Ethel made the founding gift to the scholarship fund, creating the basis for future awards. Ongoing support comes from County Township Associations, individual donors, and proceeds from the OTA’s annual golf outing.

Each year the Charitable and Educational Trust of the Grand Lodge of Massachusetts, Order Sons and Daughters of Italy in America, will award up to twenty scholarships of one thousand dollars ($1,000) each. Selection process
An independent panel of theatre advisors evaluates all scholarship applications. Members of this judging group do not have any students competing for the Washington State Dana Brown Thespian Society Scholarships, the Petra Karr Student Leadership Scholarship, or the Chris Karr Technical Theatre Scholarship.
