Georgia Thespian Scholarships
Scholarship Sponsored by Georgia Thespian
Every year, Georgia Thespians provides $26,500 in college scholarships to thirteen graduating Thespians. The scholarships available are as follows:
Gerald Ray Horne Scholarship - $2,500
This scholarship is granted to a Thespian who embodies the attributes of Ray Horne’s directorial and state leadership career: service, talent, personality, determination, vision, and compassion.
Yatesy Harvey Theatre Educator Scholarship - $2,000
The International Thespian Society supplements the $1,000 provided by Georgia Thespians with an additional $1,000 to honor a Thespian intending to major in Theatre Education. If no exceptional student is found deserving of this award in any given year, the scholarship will be awarded based on performance/portfolio by the interview panel.
Frank Pruet & Eric Ebell Vision and Innovation Scholarship for Leadership - $2,000
This scholarship is given to a Thespian who exhibits exceptional leadership, innovation, and vision as demonstrated through their troupe resume and interview.
Pam Ware Leadership Scholarship - $2,000
This scholarship is given to the Thespian who, through their troupe resume and interview, best exemplifies outstanding leadership to their troupe, school, state, and/or community, mirroring the dedication to excellence and the drive to succeed as exemplified by legendary director, Pam Ware.
Linda P. Wise Performance Scholarship - $2,000
This scholarship is given to the Thespian who showcases exceptional talent through the audition and the summary resume of roles/positions performed during their high school years, in honor of Linda P. Wise, a legendary director, teacher, and friend to Georgia Thespians across the state.
Gene & Imelda Bell Service Scholarship - $2,000
This scholarship is given to the Thespian who best demonstrates outstanding service to their troupe, school, state, and community, as shown through their troupe resume and interview.
Dwight Gilstrap Technical Scholarship - $2,000
This scholarship is given to the Thespian who, through their portfolio and interview, shows a commitment to technical theatre through exceptional work and understanding of the technical areas.
Paul Hampton Heart of a Thespian Scholarship - $2,000
This scholarship is given to the Thespian who embodies Paul Hampton’s exceptional dedication, creativity, and a genuine love for theatre arts and their fellow Thespians.
5 Achievement Scholarships - $2,000 each
These scholarships are given to Thespians who exhibit exceptional qualities in any of the dramatic arts and are deemed worthy of special recognition for their theatre achievements.
New for the 25-26 academic year! There is now a single application for College Auditions & Scholarships. You only need to fill out one application and pay a single audition fee of $25, whether you are auditioning for colleges (performance and/or design/tech/theatre ed), scholarships, or both.
