Orpha J. & Ernest Milbradt Scholarship

Introduction
The Orpha J. & Ernest Milbradt Scholarship was created to support students who plan to enroll at Kansas State University (KSU) or the University of Kansas (KU).
Award Amount
Two new scholarships of $500 each will be granted. Each award can be renewed annually for up to three additional years (maximum duration of four years total, including the initial award).
Eligible Applicants
- Kansas high school seniors who are entering KSU or KU.
Selection Criteria
Applicants must meet the following:
- Be admitted to and plan to attend either KSU or KU.
- Hold a cumulative GPA of at least 3.5.
- Demonstrate successful participation in school extracurricular activities (for example: forensics, music, athletics).
- Show strong community involvement (such as volunteer work, church activities, etc.).
- When applicants are otherwise equal on merit, financial need will determine the award recipient.
Renewal Eligibility
Recipients may request renewal of the scholarship provided they continue to meet these conditions:
- Remain enrolled at KSU or KU.
- Maintain a cumulative GPA of at least 3.5.
- Demonstrate ongoing financial need.
- Be continuously enrolled full-time.
- Make satisfactory progress toward an undergraduate degree (regardless of major).
Recipients may hold this scholarship for up to four years in total.
