Ball State Alumni Association Legacy Scholarships
Scholarship Sponsored by Ball State University
Selected outstanding high school seniors who are residents of Indiana are awarded the Alumni Association Legacy Scholarship. This renewable scholarship is open to selected students who are children or grandchildren of alumni of Ball State University and provides $500 per semester for each semester a student is enrolled full-time. Recipients must have demonstrated exceptional success in academics. Due to the vast number of eligible students, priority will be given to those who show financial need per the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Recipients must maintain a cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher to remain eligible for the award.
For the 2024-2025 academic year, 244 students accepted the Alumni Association Legacy Scholarship. These scholarships are funded by the Ball State Indiana license plate program. The Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships currently oversees the awarding of these scholarships. Students are selected based on the information provided on their Admissions Application and the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA); no separate application is required for the scholarship. Recipients will be notified beginning in the spring.
