Eligibility Criteria for 2026 Scholarship Awards: To be considered for the 2026 scholarship awards, all applicants must have an active membership with the National Athletic Trainers’ Association as of January 15, 2026. As students advance in their academic journey in athletic training or a related health profession, they can apply for various scholarship levels while maintaining their NATA membership and participation. However, they can only receive one scholarship per level.

Eligibility Criteria for Pre-Athletic Training Scholarship:

Program Status: Applicants must be starting their first year in a CAATE-accredited professional athletic training program anytime between January 1, 2026, and December 31, 2026. If awarded, proof of enrollment will be required.

Academic Performance: Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.2 (on a 4.0 scale).

NATA Membership: Applicants must be active members of the National Athletic Trainers’ Association at the time of application deadline. [Find out how to become a member here].

Professional Level Scholarship Eligibility Criteria

  1. Enrollment: Applicants must be enrolled in a CAATE-accredited professional program at the time of the application deadline (January 15, 2026). [Learn more about CAATE Accredited Professional Programs here].
  2. GPA: Applicants must have a cumulative overall GPA of at least 3.2 (on a 4.0 scale).
  3. NATA Membership: Applicants must be active members of the National Athletic Trainers’ Association at the time of the application deadline (January 15, 2026). [Find out how to become a member here].

Post-Professional Level Scholarship Eligibility Criteria

  1. Certification and Enrollment: Applicants must be BOC-certified athletic trainers and enrolled in a Post-Professional Program (e.g., Masters level, PhD, DAT, etc.) at the time of the application deadline (January 15, 2026).
  2. GPA: Applicants must have a cumulative overall GPA of at least 3.2 (on a 4.0 scale).
  3. NATA Membership: Applicants must be active members of the National Athletic Trainers’ Association at the time of the application deadline (January 15, 2026). [Find out how to become a member here].
