Breaking New Ground Scholarship
Scholarship Sponsored by Kisner Law
Kisner Law supports students who are changing the course of their families’ futures through higher education—especially those who will be the first in their family to earn a college degree. To help these trailblazers, Kisner Law offers the Breaking New Ground Scholarship twice a year: $1,500 awarded each semester to a first-generation college student who shows strong academics, a solid work ethic, and a clear interest in business, transportation, or the liberal arts and sciences.
If you’re ready to be the first in your family to attend college and want support as you pursue your goals, we encourage you to apply.
Eligibility
Before submitting an application, confirm you meet all of the following requirements:
- You are a first-generation college student (the first in your family to pursue a college degree).

- You plan to enroll in or continue a degree program at a two- or four-year college or university.

Purpose and Selection Criteria
This scholarship recognizes students who excel academically, contribute to their communities and campuses, and work hard to achieve their goals.
