Vanderburgh County Fair Scholarships

Introduction
The Vanderburgh County Fair Association supports and rewards local young people who strive to reach their highest potential. We invite these community members to collaborate with Association volunteers and staff to help deliver the best possible fair while advancing our mission of Education, Entertainment, and Exhibition.
Eligibility and Award Structure
- The Scholarship Committee will award at least one $500 scholarship to an incoming college freshman and at least one $500 scholarship to a full-time college student in their 2nd through 4th year of post-secondary study.
- The total number of scholarships and the amounts available may vary based on funds raised for the Vanderburgh County Fair Scholarship fund.
- Applicants must show active involvement with the Vanderburgh County Fair.
- A student may receive a scholarship one time per category (once as an incoming freshman and once as a 2nd–4th year college student). Exception: recipients in the 2nd–4th year category may be awarded the scholarship more than once only if there are no other applicants in that category.
Timeline and Requirements
- Application deadline: June 30.
- Interviews: scheduled in early to mid July.
- Recipients are required to attend the Vanderburgh County Fair Opening Ceremony, where scholarship winners will be publicly announced and the awards presented.
Payment Details
Scholarship checks will be made payable solely to the recipient (in their name) and will be handed out during the public announcement at the Opening Ceremony.
